This morning, before I dropped my 4 year old daughter off at childcare, I thought it would be a good idea to take her to the polls with me. I know she is young, but I thought it would be good to teach her early about the importance of voting. We had a good talk on the way to the polling location about the basics of what an election is and how it works.
As we were walking to the car, she turns to me and says "Daddy, when I grow up, I want to be a candidate!" I then asked her what office she would like to run for. She replied "I think I will run for president!"

I am officially accepting donations for her 2042 campaign!

Please share your experiences from todays election.

I will vote for her. But, I may not live that long. I would be about 92 years old.

I took my 10 year old son too. It was tight fit in the booth, as I am a big guy, but it was great. He is politically informed for his age and soaked it all up.

You have actual booths? We just get tall desks with DM style dividers on them.

Yeah, we have the old school metal tube frame, white cloth voting booths in these parts. We also use the ballots where you color the bubble, like the old scantron tests were done. I still miss the punch card ballots, we had those up until 2004.
