Doc is stumped - we had a follow up appointment for Nov 8th but she is almost back to normal now so he doesn’t think we will ever know.

He didn’t think running a bunch of tests was worth the $ at this point.

After you think about it you'll know exactly what to do when the time comes.
If I reach a point of an terminal disease that creates a vegetative state or intolerable pain condition, if I can't fix it my wife has instructions. Being in medicine for over 30 years has an distinct benefit.

So glad to hear that she is getting better! Its hard to let them go. I have had siberian huskies all my life and couldn't imagine life without one. Dogs truly make our lives better and deserve to be spoiled. I hope you get to spoil yours for a few more years.

    :crying:

Tumor came back again - from a golf ball to a grapefruit in one day - took her to the vet January 10TH.

Vet said there was a small chance he could remove the tumor - and a fair chance it would give her a few months of quality time. The procedure was not to complicated.

Hard call - but she was so happy - and was not acting sick at all - so

We scheduled the surgery for January 16TH.

Two days later Monday the 12TH Lacie started limping really bad - front leg - could not put any weight on it.

On Tuesday morning she was not any better - I canceled the surgery. I did not want to put her through all that if there was other big issues - at this point she only had one good leg.

Told the vet I wanted to give her a few days - see if it got better - it did a little - but this last Wednesday she started really have a hard time.

We took her in today - vet found another large lump on her bad leg - right on the bone - she had also lost about 8 pounds in two weeks - he said he was pretty sure it was bone cancer - took an x-ray -

It was confirmed - vet said no doubt - and really no good options -

I think most of you know the rest of the story --

Having been through it numerous times it does not get any easier. Sorry for your loss and prayers for your eventual recovery. People suck. Dogs not so much.

Sorry for your loss, our furry friends are quite simply the best of us.

Bone cancer claimed the remarkable dog of a lifetime a while back. What was such a tough call at the time (putting him down) was 100% the right call. No more suffering or tough days.

May warm memories help fill the void from your loss.
