That must be some fire resistant grass.
I've put out several fires in shops from careless use of WD40.
Have also used it as starting fluid for motors.
You should be getting a flame, but I'm not sure how tolerable the smoke will be.
I think I let em sit to long, I’m not sure. Sure wouldn’t light. May be this cheap grass.

Actually WD40 is pretty flammable. If you actually did that, the joint might go up in flames before you could take a hit and if you had any facial hair, including eyebrows, you might not have it anymore after trying to light a WD40 soaked spliff.
It WAS flammable --- Until they changed the formula. We used to carry WD40 on the boat to use as a 2-cycle outboard "starting fluid". Now, it won't work for that.

You shouldn't have used penetrating oil.

Is it full of stems and seeds that you don’t need?!
