Compared them side by side at the range today. At 10 yards, Remington 115gr Range FMJ, G26 printed 3” x 4” group of 15 rounds. The G19 printed 3” x 2” group.
Pretty similar results with HST 124gr.

Anyone else have similar results with their 26?

I owned both for many years, and shot the G26 as good or better than my G19.

I ended up selling the G19 and just carried the 26 either with 10, 12 or 15 in a CrossBreed and others.

I shoot it almost as well as the G19 -- as long as I use the twelve round mag.
With the ten round mag, my pinkie hangs out. Three fingers are better than two.

Same here. 26 is the best shooting firearm for me. With a 15 round magazine it fits my hand perfect. Backstrap snugs right in under my thumb, the pudgy spot at the other side of my hand where are the Pisiform bone is goes into the hollow behind the magazine, Little finger wraps around the reduced size magazine since there’s no handle and I literally have a perfect fit. Sorry, if that almost sounds a little pornographic...ha, ha...

The only thing is, while financially I can only afford to keep either the 26 or 19, I'm leery that IF Biden wins, I won't be able to buy another Glock 19 for a loooooooong time.

Thinking maybe I should just keep both.

Am I missing something? Looks like you shot the G19 twice as well as your G26?

Take it out to 20 yards to confirm. It’ll highlight the differences better.

Also, do timed strings and small transitions to get a better sense of what it does at speed. You’re looking for a gun that can do it all, not just slow fire target practice right?

Your results sound about right. G26 is no slouch and shoots very well. Less of a difference if you’re talking about a G26 with a pinky extension. You can’t go wrong with either.

But make it a more fair comparison and add speed into the equation because that’s where some of the differences start to come out.

And it still looks like a 3x2 group (nice shooting, BTW!) is twice as good as a 3x4 group...

I hate Glocks.
I only own five of them.
Two are G26's.
Every G26 I've shot has been an absolute laser.

You're right...it is twice as good. I guess what I mean is, I think the G26 is accurate for a CCW piece, and how much do I lose (aside from capacity) carrying it vs a 19?

Yes, I most surely do shoot my G26.5 as well as or better than my G19.4. I'm thinking of selling my G17.5 since I rarely if ever shoot it and put that money into a RDS for the 19. But, maybe I'll wait until after the election....

I tend to shoot my Gen 4 26 better than my Gen 5 19M. I tell ppl all the time that the 26 is the most accurate Glock they ive had solely based on my personal shooting abilities and nothing else lol

Pretty much shoot everything the same...aim at the X, hit the X. When rapid firing off a draw with no sight ref, I definitely shoot a smaller group with a G34 than with the 26. Straight up slow fire for groups??? All the same.

I carry the G19/G26 combo on-duty. Thus I have to qualify with both. Sometimes my G26 scores a point or 2 higher, sometimes vice-versa. Same thing used to happen when I carried my G23/G27. This has been consistent over 27 years of carrying those combos.

In my time on the range I have seen a LOT of shooters come through and shoot and or qualify with 17/22, 19/23, and 26/27s. The overwhelming majority shot better with the 26/27s. Less off hand drift and usually better grouping. Also, most of them didn’t think so or realize it, but they shot better without the mag extensions.

The 26 is a great gun.

I never got into the 9mm round, shoot 45 and 40. I just want to say, I have found my G27 gen 3 to be most accurate shooter for me. Shooting with the standard flush fit mag, no extension.

I kinda hate to add this, but my G26 spends a lot more time in the safe than it used to.
My Sig P365XL and new G19 both have a red dot.

When your eyes get to be 73 years old, it gets kinda tough chasing down the front sight, then lining it up to the rear. With the red dot, just put that bright dot on the target. Technology keeps moving on.
