That's right. I wear it right out there in the open. If I'm loading the truck and hauling the wheelers out to the end of the road, I don't wait till I get there to slap the Redhawk on. I have found I may need it right there at the end of the road, and don't want to have to go find it in a pile of stuff on the seat of the truck. So, I wear it into the gas station, store, and anywhere else I stop on the way. Even the liquor store.
I wear it if I am heading out to bow hunt. I wear it when I walk around the neighbor hood, but I don't live in town. Sparsely populated here, and the jungle is all around us. It is prime Brown Bear habitat.
I ain't the only one either. It's fairly common here.
When I go to town I CC my Walther P99 or something similar.
So whatever floats your boat. It won't do you any good if you leave it home or on the seat of the truck. Wear your guns boys.

    Let's just say, 'You're a bigger man than I.'

    Ruger RedHawk .357 Magnum (7½-inch barrel, 58 ounces...EMPTY)

Were I to carry this hogleg anywhere about, it would most likely be in mah right hand (a.k.a., 'OC').

Nice. I have one of those too. Takes the hottest .357 loads and makes them feel like light .38's. Have 2 in .41. A stainless 7 1/2 and a blued 5 1/2 that looks like new.

Zat you, Porterhouse? Sorry couldn't resist.

If it works for your area of living, happy for you. Around here it would just get you jammed up with questions probably.

I have just never thought of guns as some status symbol that I need to show the world to impress someone with my badness. To me it is a defense tool I would rather keep private.

I like to wear my Beretta in a Safariland thigh holster when mowing the lawn. I look at it as an educational experience for the elementary schoolers walking home in the afternoon.

I got away with it once. I'm not sure I should chance it again.
