I inherited a couple Remington.22s from the 40s from my father. Problem was no one knew where they went. I did get his 30-06 and a Winchester 94 and an 870 and a couple of my grandfather’s guns are still unaccounted for. We suspect they were stolen from the Attic in the 70s. But a cousin found the .22s buried in my grandmother’s junk. No bolts, damaged, rusty, parts missing. Far beyond reasonably restoring. So I cut the barrels off and had a friend forge hooks out of one. He drove a high carbon rod down the bore of the other and is forging it into a knife. I attached the hooks to the fireplace and hung a shooting bag and powder horn on one and a pistol on the other.
