I picked up my Colt that has been having some work done today.

    It started out as this:

    And now looks like this:

The upgrades on this 1911 are as follows:
    - Bar-sto barrel and bushing
    - Wilson Combat trigger
    - Wilson Combat night sights
    - Wilson Combat mainspring housing w/magwell
    - Wilson Combat fitted ambidextrous safety
    - Wilson Combat slide stop
    - Wilson Combat fitted beavertail safety
    - Wilson Combat hammer
    - Trigger job at a crisp 3.5
    - Duracoat black
    - Series 70 conversion

I am beside myself with how beautiful this 1911 turned out. The work was performed by the Scottsdale Gun Club.

Let me know what you guys think!

Looks like a keeper. Have you had a chance to shoot it yet?

I did. The duracoat is fresh and it could have used some more lube. Right now I am breaking her in, but she is a tackdriver so far.

Looks great. Simple. I like simple.

What sight configuration did you go with? I'm liking a front dot with plain black rear more and more but like to hear what others are going with.

A couple of months, but I had told them to take their time on it. I wasn't in any kind of rush to have it back.

The sights are Wilson Combat night sights. The two rear glow amber-yellow and the front glows bright green. I really, really like these sights. Thank you for your compliments! :wavey:

Thanks. The reason I have so many Wilson parts is because SGC primarily sells them. I know they are quality parts so I figured I might as well buy them in person then wait for shipments.
