    All I can think about is the next 1911 I'll buy! I walked into a lgs and there's a brand new SA TRP w/ black Amory Kote fot $1509. Talk about nice! I want it!

    Great gun, but that's too high. Keep looking. I've been in your same shoes. I know it's hard, but you can get a better deal.

    Yeah, the AC models run a bit higher than the stainless models.

    I'm in NWAR as well. Ozark Armory has a stainless and I want to say it's $1440 or something like that. I've looked online and all the prices I've found for the black ones are pretty close to $1500. Though if you buy online (out of state) you get a break on taxes and if you get free shipping then all you have to pay is transfer fee. That's the way to save a little $.
