    to help me practice. Need some input/recommendations. Been looking at the following models;

    Probably one of the first three;

    http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=772064

    Gotta say I kinda like this one, the big board is nice... but ouch, the price;

    Primarily would be using it for practicing alone at an outdoor range.

    Any recommendations?

    The PACT Club timer 3 is awesome. I love mine it is plenty loud even when doubling up the hearing protection. The only drawback is you can't set a par between certain shots. ie if you wanted to know how long it took for your sixth shot in PPC to change mags and fire the seventh you could look but you cant set a buzzer to push you and help you with cadence. The display is large and the functions it has can be learned in 2 minutes. The clip kind of sucks as it is bent out a little far and doesnt stay in a loose pocket well. But all in all worth every penny I spent.

    Turak,
    I have a Pact Club timer that I do not use. If interested let me know and we can work a deal.

    If it's just for your own use and don't care about recording strings, etc. no need to drop the high $ on the new CED. Always best to check on mfg warranty too. PACT's is good, if slow at times. Also since their CT has just bee upgraded, probably possible to find a CT II at a bargin price.

    Agree with John that the clip is minimaly usefull and it's not really a "pocket" item. FWIW, rigged up a neck cord and found an inexpensive camera case in the bargin bins at one of the computer stores for own Pact Club.

    Ordered my CED 7000 Wednesday, it showed up Thursday, and I ran the local IPSC match with it today. It is excellent! Very Small. The best thing is that it automatically stores the last 10 strings of fire, great for times when the scorekeeper forgets to write down a time and realizes it after another shooter has started.

    Check the price difference. I bought mine here. Actually went to order stuff and noticed TAX! HUH? Found out he is about 40 minutes from me so I just drove down and picked up a bunch of stuff.

    I like the 7000. Adjustable volume is nice for dry fire practice.

    If I could host a video, you could hear what it sounds like...

    Well, seems that Photobucket has video hosting now.

    3.70 total time with a sloppy, slow reload. All A's though.
