    Save your money.

    That white paint will soon completely flake off the recoil spring and you'll
    be good to go.

    I have several pistols doing that.

    Is this a new thing? The G19 I had last summer had the black coated spring.

    I don't know but I've seen several Glocks doing that.

    I have a new HK P30 with a red painted recoil spring that's flaking off
    everywhere.

    I think it's how they keep track of which spring is for which gun at the factory.

    G-19 springs are black, G-17, 22, 21 etc are silver (light gray).
