I need a new blade to match my 1911. It needs to have an OD handle and a black blade, it also needs to be a spring assist blade. Anyone know of such a critter:headscratch:

Look up Wilson combat knives. They have some with OD handles and black blades.

Forger spring assist Okie. It's slow as sh1t.

The WAVE is the only way to fly.

This one from Emerson is exactly what you need:

Getting him to make you one with an OD handle might take a little sweet talking.

But that's what you're good at Butch.

SOG makes the Aegis with a standard blade, but not one that has scales to match the grips on the 1911.

Hope you find what you're looking for!

Okie, if your 1911 has checkered wood grips and a blued finish, check out this Gerber Freeman S30V folder from Cabela's. It has assisted opening and comes with a leather sheath that can be worn vertically or horizontally on the belt. Read through the reviews.

See also on that page, Gerber has a special offer going thru March for a free Santium folder, so you get two knives in the deal. It's a decent knife and comes with a sheath; good for shop work but it took me a while to get it sharpened right.

I got the Gerber Freeman S30V with the fixed blade. The grip is amazing with grooves machined into the top and bottom edges of the steel and the checkered cocobolo handles. It's a truly beautiful knife, well made and super sharp.
