Guys, I sometimes love getting into debates on other forums.

    Check this out.

I love the feeling of camaraderie we all have here, but also like being completey anonymous every once in a while. I feel "invisible" compared to being on our great forum. Its a really weird feeling, to be honest.

Its amazing how clueless some people are to the world of 1911s.

You should have given that jackass a side by side photo comparison of the Taurus and the Yost, RRA, Pistol Dynamics, or the Morris if you had it.....or etc, etc, etc....

I may have to sign on and chime in  I haven't been on that forum in probably 2 years. I may have to re-register, as I have no idea what username I used before, but you'll know who I am this time.

    Bac,

Dude why don't you buy a few 1911s before opening your pie hole about them. You clearly have very little experience with 1911s from your statements. Let me guess you have a old Colt that your daddy gave you so now you are a 1911 expert?

LOL that is extremely funny! I share the same exact feelings as you on the Taurus. Everyone ive interacted with shot consistently, but thats about it. Fitting of parts and slide to frame, and finish were HORRIBLE

Reading those ridiculous posts (not bac of course) on that forum make me really appreciate GT. What a bunch of jokers !

Bac, what was your reasoning for purchasing a Taurus ? Having seen your collection I wouldn't have expected you to own one. The 1911 is such a beautiful design. That Taurus could create such an ugly example says a lot about the company. The PT1911 name on the side is just plain ugly. It reminds me of someone with a Camaro that has a giant aftermarket -Camaro- insignia on the side of it. Out of place and just wrong.

Plus the worst of the gun store salesmen are often pushing them. I always feel sorry for the newbies when they are listening to how great the Taurus is. I have interjected a few times which seems to irritate the guys behind the counter. Maybe there is a bigger profit margin since they are so crappy.

This thread is funny to me cause look what I bought today...

Now I prefer a different brand of 1911 (and in fact really do not like Taurus semis at all other than the PT92 maybe)

But the Taurus Judge Public Defender seems like one sweet piece :)

And those Winchester PDX .410 shells are frigging awesome....

But both can live in harmony
