Got off work, went to Wally World to do some grocery shopping. Been avoiding the place as I found a grocery store that I like. But I goofed off before work and it was 11pm, no choice but to go there.

I'd actually goofed off so long before work, I didn't have time to put my Glock in it's normal holster that fits my belt. I had it in the holster that has a clip that's too big for my belt. It's great for around the house sweat pants carry, so I just stuck it in my pocket and when I got to work I put it in my Center Of Mass safe.

So when I get to WalMart, I know that putting it on my belt is not an option, especially in the pants I was wearing. So I put it in my pocket. Went in and did my thing, come out and load the groceries in the car, and drive home.

It was a dark cold rainy night. I pulled into the driveway. I turned the car off, was gathering stuff I don't leave in the car. Made sure I had my wallet, Blackberry, and keys.

My gun. It was gone. It wasn't in my pocket. My heart raced. Hell it ****ing speed up to 300 beats a minute. I sat there in horror. Had someone found it. Stole it. Used it to commit a crime. Would I ever get it back? Would my license get yanked for this?

I saw everything I'd worked so hard for flash before my eyes and flutter out the window. In the 5 seconds between when I realized I was missing my gun, and when I realized it was sitting in the safe on the seat beside me, holy **** that was scary.

My short term memory is so shot lol.

Nope lol. Wasn't trying to be literary, just explaining why I didn't see the darn thing right beside me.

For me, it's usually, "Did I leave my 29 out?".
