My heart goes out to you and your family, for I know exactly what you are going through now and will after the numbness wears off, because I have been in the same position for forty-five years.
I strongly urge you to find a support group in your area. It was not available to me. http://www.suicide.org/suicide-support-groups.html
Just sad. Lost my little brother to suicide in 2000. No fun. A time to be a "brother" to him taking care of final details and an "uncle" to his family. Survivors of Suicide saved my bacon. See if there's an SOS group near you or if you're in the boonies try the internet.
I was working crisis when it happened for me and as numb as I was to the almost daily suicide calls its different when its your brother. Hits hard no matter how tough you are. And your cousins are gonna be impacted too. Heavy to deal with but know you can step up.
I believe in holding the hands of the dead. My brother "told" me that he was okay - that it was what he wanted. Probably mind games in my own head but at least reassuring.
Your mind - and your loved one's minds are gonna be going crazy dancing...stay as centered as possible....know that the family will be angry both from grief and the "shame" of suicide. Don't engage their anger - comfort them.
Sending up smoke for you and your brother.
Hope this doesn't sound preachie...just know this road all too well and endeavoring to help ease the insanity and trauma.
I'm very sorry for your loss.
