    Hey All,
I have read the sticky about posting photos, like five times.

I have photos on flickr website that I want to post to my thread where I am attempting to sell my G27.

My thread will not let me actually copy and paste the URL from flickr...

Am I supposed to friggin copy the url onto a word document and then manually enter the url into my thread??

I can fly a helicopter, a hang glider, fix a blackhawk aircraft, kill a deer, build a house, teach wayward youth how to help themselves behave, etc...

BUT I CANNOT LEARN TO UPLOAD PHOTOS!!
(If you all never hear from me again...... you will know what happened!)

Help me help me help me, please?

    first off dont use flickr,

    use photobucket,

right click image, click save image location ,

come into your thread here, and in your posting box, click the top button that looks like an envelope with a mountain and a stamp in the corner ,

then right click and paste the url into it

I don't understand why you can't copy and paste from flickr to here, but you can to a word document?

Are you trying to use the "embed" code instead of just the image url?

I'll try to do one from flickr

    You are doing something wrong...

    http://www.flickr.com/tour/upload/
    Upload

There are 5 simple ways to upload your photos and videos to Flickr

    • via the Flickr Uploadr (available for both PC and Mac)
    • via iPhoto, Aperture, or Windows XP plugins
    • via our upload web page
    • via email
    • via various free third-party desktop programs

Go to your Flickr photo in your photostream.
Click on 'All Sizes' right above the photo
Choose the size you want to link to at the top of the screen
At the bottom of the screen, there is a box labeled "2. Grab the photo's URL:"
Copy the contents of the URL box
Come to GT, hit the 'Insert Image' button in the message entry area and paste the URL into the box that pops up.
Hit OK and continue your post. Repeat as necessary.

    thanks.
I get what you are saying...
but when i get to the final step (pasting the url into the box), neither my computer or GT forum are "allowing" for me to click edit and scroll down to paste!
i know how to copy and paste...but i do not have any pasting option opening for me when i get to the "insert url" box...

    thanks for trying..

    (not intended to sound insulting)
Have you tried Ctrl-V to paste(on PC), not sure what the MAC equivalent is (just in case).

I find it easier on GT, but again, I'm using the code, not whatever the uploader is

You don't need menus to copy and paste. CTRL-C does a copy of the highlighted text and CTRL-V does a paste. If your cursor is in the box you want to paste to, forget the menus and simply do a CTRL-V.

Now, I don't know if that's your issue. For STEP ONE, post a reply in here and paste your image URL into your reply. Do NOT try to use the image function, simply put it as text into a normal reply. Let's START with that one simple operation. Can you do that?

Press CTRL-V, that is the keyboard shortcut for paste, and will work when the curser is in the "insert url" box.

Awesome, you got it! And Weiser 878 took that and simply put the start and end tags around it. You should try it here just to practice and make sure you can do it... and we'll answer any Qs. Good luck posting!
