Apparently that are still doing the sweepstakes, but I wonder how they get any money to do that?

are old people still ordering magazines?

    How are they relevant?
How can they spend money on commercials and not tell me what they do for customers or who their customers are?

i got even with them and the other one that Ed Mc Mahon and Dick Clark advertised..

this is when they used to mail the sweepstakes envelopes to us.

i ordered up the limit to both companies.

the magazines came in like they were supposed to.

the bills came in for the orders.

    i never paid them

the magazines kept coming for about 4 months, some were monthly subscriptions some were twice every month

i never paid them, and they wrote back to me about wanting thier money

    i never paid them.

    finally the magazines stop,

    and surprisingly, the next year?

no more junk mail from either company.

nowadays, they do it via online, and they want your credit card info first.....

Those bast#rds had my poor old grandma excited when they had asked her for an address an directions to her apartment.
I know it broke her heart when I explained how it was just a game/scam......
    SHAME ON THEM!!!!!

Why do they want your credit card?
What are you actually paying for?

I wouldn't mind winning $5k a week for life, but I still wouldn't order magazines from them.

I wonder if anyone who never ordered anything ever won anything from them? I know they say it's "no purchase necessary", but still...

I used to get a bunch of magazines, and like the hard copy.

Now it's just American Rifleman, and Blue Press...if you can call the catalog a magazine.

I do like the NRA magazine though, always good to see how Wayne is dressed and his thousand dollar neckties.

back in the old days, you just ordered up as many magazines as you wanted.

then they would mail you the bill, sorta on your honor to pay. well i got sick and tired of them, so i had NO HONOR and didn't pay

so nowadays when you buy something online, you have to give your credit card number, so they can charge you right there and then.

i gave up reading most magazines. including automotive repair and trucking.

i found that nearly every page is an advertisement, and if i was lucky, the article i was about to read, had one paragraph..

if i knew back then what i know now about the toilet paper shortage.??

they'd be stacked up in the bathroom for that shortage.

You make them identify you as a theif so you won't have to receive their mailings and put them in the trash?

You do know that bad debts came right out of Ed McMahon;s pay check.

And now he's dead because he couldn't pay for the life saving medical treatment.

    Hope you'r happy.

So you are bragging about stealing magazines?

    They offered a service
You signed up for the service
They did what they agreed to
    You did not

Doesn’t that make you a thief which we all generally agree is a lowlife?

I went through this with my mother. ‘Twas a learning experience. They really lead you on. And on. And on. “You’re still in the running for the Grand Prize...” Everything they do is within the law. And in the system I believe in, they have that right. But I no longer waste the time.

It's not about magazines anymore . When you try to enter the contest you get bombarded with endless offers of crap to buy . And I mean endless .

On one very cold winter, boring day I went to their website. The programing of the site was insane. Literally after 15 minutes of trying to get into the sweepstakes I determined it was impossible.

I used an old email address that I empty every few weeks, a fake name and an address that doesn't exist.

My ex father-in-law booked an airline ticket once, convinced he had won.
