    What the Hell was that.

That's got to be the dumbest ending to a movie I've ever seen.

I reversed the movie thinking that I must have missed something but No, the movie just stops.
I wouldn't even call it an ending, it just stops.

    I liked it.

Yes, the ending just sort of stopped short.

I think it shows that sometimes evil situations go unresolved, and justice is sometimes never served, but not for the lack of good men trying.

    Sometimes decent men fail.

I thought the ending was brilliant, but I also understand why you didn't like it.

Your obviously not cultured enough to understand true art in modern films.
Sad thing is I must not be either cause I also didn't get it .:whistling:

That movie P'd me off in a big way. I know it was supposed to be a "quality" movie, but some things just bug me.

I read the book a year or two before the film came out. The book was ok, but the details available as to motivation, etc were easier to get to. Still, the movie was true to the book and yes, it sucked. Not a good candidate for film, better as a book, though it was no less depressing as a book...

It was a very lame movie. Only popular here because firearms are in it. Its slow and drags on.

It was the Coen Brothers. If you were into Lynch you'd know what I meant... I think... maybe.

I didn't like it as well. When it got the to the credits and saw the Coen Brothers, I said, "Oh, now it makes sense that it didn't make sense." I like to think deep, but for me, the movie was pointless.

I was very disappointed the first time I watched it because of all the hype.

I do not know why, but the movie grows on you the more you watch it.

I think I will buy it the next time I see it on the $7.50 bargain shelf at Wal-Mart.

As Flipper mentioned, the ending just showed that life goes on. The struggle between good and evil never ends, you just do your part and step aside when you don't understand things anymore. Either that or you encounter something that's superior or more evolved than you are. Like Anton Chiguhr, the evil in men just keeps on going, even if you happen to wound it along the way.

Personally, I liked the film and the book. Lot's to think about.
