I hope gas in CA hits $10 a gallon....

    Then maybe you didn't, but the rest of CA sure did. No sympathy here. I felt the same in NJ and left for the better.

    Gas is nowhere near $5/gal in Alabama.

    California take extra measures to bring their misery upon them.

    What is stopping the companies from building new refineries is not the existing profit margin.

    Based on the information we are receiving here in CA, the increase in gas prices is due to a power outage at an oil refinery. It has nothing to do with the laws of the state.

    Additionally, the OP is a POS. I really appreciate the wishful thinking of gas hitting $10 a gallon so I can't afford to drive to work and feed my family. Go **** yourself. I hope a Tornado blows through Forth Worth and destroys your well being.

    New York went bankrupt and pleaded for a federal bailout in 1975.
    Gerald Ford said no.

    Is New York still there?
    Did the population die a day after the bailout was denied?
    Was the city abandoned by fleeing public sector workers and welfare recipients?
    Seems like they solved their budget problem and went on to prosper, no?

    California is not too big to fail.

    Nah, I hope they start voting red. They have more than enough electoral votes to make a difference. Maybe $10 per gallon gas will shock them into it.

    Having lived in both, don't be jealous that I picked the State with lower gas prices, prettier beaches, less traffic, lower insurance costs, less restrictive gun laws, great schools the kids could walk to and real estate that is pennies on the dollar compared to the offerings of Orange County.

    $10 per gallon is too cheap for California. Let us rise the per gallon from $10 to $100 per gallon. They could afford that. I know it because I am from CA.

    You must want to be the next "Road Warrior"! You better arm those Tank Trucks like Stage Coaches of the old west. 8000 gallon x $10 = $80,000 per truck. Not a bad days work for the Land Pirates.

    Uh, wait. Hold up.

    Locally, gas is $3.80 a gallon. Wholesale (NYMEX) price is $2.90. In my state, wholesale to retail is about 60-65c. Right now it's 90c.

    I'm paying 30c/gal more for gasoline because of this BS in California. Time to knock it the bleep off!

    (Forget that gasoline futures are up as well. $2.90/gal is just stupid-high because of refinery issues in a non-nationwide-essential refinery system.)
