I have purchased the entire Glock factory production run of the Glock 35C - i.e., both of them.

Dear fellow Glock collectors and enthusiasts,

As the thread title notes, I've been extremely fortunate in being presented the opportunity to purchase the only two factory Glock 35Cs ever produced.

The short version of how I acquired them is as follows: Forum member JMS contacted me over a year ago letting me know that he had a potential lead on these guns. I was, of course, both extremely grateful that he shared this with me and extremely interested in securing one or both of these important Glocks.

Over a year later, JMS told me that he was very close to being able to work out a deal to purchase them. After much discussion he ended up most graciously offering me the opportunity to purchase them both. He put me in touch with the seller directly and, a couple of weeks later, here they are!

Before moving on to the guns, I want to extend my sincerest thanks and heartfelt gratitude to JMS for affording me this literally once in a lifetime opportunity. I will be forever grateful to him for this tremendous opportunity.

The wonderful fellowship of the members of this forum never ceases to amaze me. I have in fact been able to acquire several of my most rare Glocks only because of similar acts by other forum members who knew that I'd share the guns with the forum and the Glock collecting community. As I've told them each individually, I am most grateful for their kindness and humbled that they believe me to be a good steward of these magnificent, historical guns.

It is now my pleasure to share with all of you these two important Glocks - which have been discussed here and on other sites for years.

Before posting photos of the guns, I will share with you some of their history.

I believe that the first publication to discuss these guns was the Spring/Summer GCA newsletter in which the guns were described and offered for sale.

Here are some photos of the newsletter as well as the information on the guns which appeared within:

    IMG_20190111_201218 (4).jpg IMG_20190111_201319.jpg IMG_20190111_201338.jpg IMG_20190111_201421.jpg IMG_20190111_201448.jpg IMG_20190111_201518.jpg

I've spoken to Stan from GCA extensively about these guns. He said that as far as he can recall they were offered to GCA members back in 2007 at the NRA Annual Convention in St. Louis and via the newsletter for $2500 each. He is not sure exactly when they sold or whether that was the final price.

At a later date, when the guns again changed hands in 2012, Mr. Ray Reynolds drafted the following two letters a few weeks apart which describe the history of the guns in more detail. In a stroke of very good fortune, the original letters and even the original envelopes have remained with the guns. I now have them both.

These are the original two letters and their original envelopes:

    IMG_20190111_203509.jpg IMG_20190111_203523.jpg IMG_20190111_203420.jpg IMG_20190111_203452.jpg

With Stan's help I was able to locate Ray. I spoke with him just a few nights ago. I asked him why he drafted two different letters a few weeks apart. He noted: "While both versions accurately reflect the history of the two GLOCK 35C pistols, the second letter does not have a typo found on the 1st letter and better explains my historic knowledge of the two rare pistols." He also noted that these two 35Cs remain the only Glock 35Cs ever produced to this day.

So, now that you know the story, in the next post it will be my pleasure to share with you photos of the guns (divided into two posts because of the number of photos)...

I thought that it was extremely interesting that the labels are totally different on the two guns. Further, I've never seen a "LOAN PISTOL" label on an Glock. Have any of you?

If anyone has any other information about these guns please share it with us. If anyone knows of any other publications where they've been mentioned or have links to any other discussions of them please share them as well.

One final note: Just as with my Gen 1 19, I know that I am only a temporary steward of these unique pieces of Glock history. I am fully committed to insuring that none of my most rare, historical and important guns (Glocks and others) get lost to the collector community. Further, I am exploring options to share them with you all via display in museum collections if this can be arranged. I would love for more Glock collectors and enthuiasists to be able to see them in person than just in photos.

I hope that you all enjoy this post. I anticipate another thread which I think that you'll all enjoy in the next month or two :)

(I respectfully ask that non-collectors please refrain from snarky "they're all just Glocks, Glocks aren't collectible, I wouldn't pay any more for these than for any other Glocks" type of posts. This is the COLLECTOR FORUM. If you don't collect Glocks, great. We do. We don't have to know that you don't. Thank you very much for your restraint.)

    LOL!!!!

I don't think that I could stomach "test firing" the 19. In fact, I know that I'd never try. The gun is too important, valuable and it's old.

That said, I might make a brief video of putting a few rounds through one of these along with a regular Gen 3 35C. Both of these have been fired and look to be in excellent shape. I've got to think on it some but I'm tempted to.

Nope. And I've studied a LOT of labels. Actually working on an article about them.

Thanks so much for answering. When I asked this I was hoping that you'd answer. I think that you're THE expert on the subject.

That would be such a cool article.

As noted in my other post, just can't thank you enough for all of the tremendous info that you share with us!!!

Stan from GCA has never heard of one either.

Right? So if you are going to shoot one of them....... id pick the REBUILT one, cant be worth as much as the other? Seriously, Then id clean the crap out of the barrel. That way its less likely to blow up. 40 glock ya know. Thank you for showing off these jems. You sir have got some cool stuff!

Indeed they are re: the tennifer. They looked so cool when they arrived before I cleaned them. I don't think that they'd been lubed in years.

I'm not entirely sure why the labels are different. They've both followed essentially the same path.

I think that the blue label was the original.

When Glock sells demo guns to employees they always do a factory inspection and "re-build" which is reflected on the label. They put "re-build" there even if very little other than an inspection was done.

I don't know why such a label was not put on the other one.

They're both in extremely good condition. Neither has been fired much.

I'd think that they'd be valued about the same. What that value is I have no idea as neither has sold on the open market - at least as far as I know.

It may be that the white label might be worth more as the label seems extremely rare. No one that I've asked - even guys like Sniper and Stan - who have vast knowledge of the subject, have ever seen another such label.

This is what they look like when I first received them...
