To all the bugs I've splattered on my windshield, I salute you.

    Funny,

Last night I hit a bug, and was gonna start a thread about a head on collision I had with a horse

    fly.

Honest to goodness. The thread title was gonna say : Messed up my windshield real bad; head on collision with a horse.

And then, the 1st words in the main body of the post would have been "horse fly".

    :)

But then I came home, and never fired up the computer...

Good memory on you sir! I still have the warnings and PMs from THREE mods on that one. :whistling:

She spent the night, the happier I make her, the happier the boss seems to be. Win Win in my book!

I thought this thread was gonna be about firing off some knuckle children...

    :scared:

I am glad I was wrong as it would have been a little akward.

That ain't nothin'.I hit a buzzard once.He got stuck in my bumper.I thought I had missed him, until two guys in an oncoming vehicle stared at me like they thought I was crazy or something.I pulled over to see what caught their attention. There it was,a giant dead buzzard wedged in the hole in my bumper right where the license plate mounts...

Thought you were talking about brain cells being killed off from too much alcohol consumption.

What did one splattered bug say to the other splattered bug on the windshield?

"I'll never have the guts to do that again!"

    OR

    "That's Me all Over!"

Yep, driving in FL during love bug season is a pain. I drove into a swarm of honey bees in a semi.

Imagine closing your eyes behind the wheel of 85,000 pounds rolling at 75 MPH and keeping them closed until you can pull over and stop. Had to syphon diesel out of tanks to clean the damn glass they were so thick and gooey.

I wish I had a picture of it, but I once splattered a locust on my helmet visor. At 85mph. Closest I ever came to dumping a bike, scared the ever-lovin' crap outta me!

I had a buddy that hit a Turkey. He was riding behind a big rig and it came from over topp of the trailer. He guesses the wash behind the truck took the air out from under him and the bird stalled. He said it just folded up and fell towards him. It took out his CB antenna and landed in the bed of his truck. If he had been going 5mph slower it wouldve gone through the windsheild.

    It's pretty nice
I was riding ATV's in Ocala NF a few weeks ago and there were BILLIONS of lady bugs. Inhaled a few, found them in my helmet, clothes, shoes, socks and backpack when I got home. Never seen so many, wish I had captured some for the property. They eat lots of insects that damage plants and trees around the house.
