    I am now a changed person! I have had a Glock 23 Gen 4 for a while now and have been pleased with it. I had never shot a .45 ACP til the other day. I shot a friend of mines, and shot better groups than I did with my .40. So I sold my G23 and bought a G30 today. I haven't shot it yet, but as far as the feel of it, I am very pleased. As soon as I get the chance to shoot it, I will a get a better feel but I am sure that I will be happy. Anybody got any advice or tips? Thanks, God Bless!

    My G30sf is my most accurate gun. I have heard this from others too. You would think the G21 would be more accurate with the longer barrel but it is apparently not. IDK why the 30's appear to be real tack driver's?

    You're doomed! Now you have to get a 21 to keep it company and share its ammo (along with a half dozen 1911s or so). Then it's a Dillon, casting furnace, bullet sizer..... Enjoy the journey. It's a blast!

    I know a lot of people that say its too thick, but it it is only a couple hundredths of an inch bigger. I actually like the wider grip since I have very long hands. I can't speak for mine personally, but the guy I bought it from said it amazingly accurate. We reload most of our own shells, but I stopped at Bass Pro Shops last night on my way to my grandparents in Shreveport and picked up a couple boxes of 230 gr Hornady Critical Defense. Can't wait to put some rounds down range. Thanks for all the replies. I am sure the G30 will last me many years to come, hey its a Glock right?

    The 30s are smooth shooters for sure. Lots of practice and invest in a quality holster like a TT Gunleather slim mike's special IWB. Also always carry a spare mag on you.

    Enjoy your G30. I like them more than the G23.

    I've read many posts of folks having crazy good accuracy
    with Glock 45 pistols.

    Best advise I can give is;
    If it shoots all aces strait up?
    Leave that pup alone and just shoot the (*&_&_ out of her - LOL!

    Seriously, get in some major range time with the factory gun
    before you consider doing anything.
    Get a good holster, belt, maybe some night sights - and have fun!

    I would have gotten a G21, but enjoy your G30.

    glockaholic23,

    I couldn't help but notice your screen name... "23", does this mean you'll have to change it to "glockaholic30?" :supergrin:

    I have the G21... LOVE IT!

    Welcome & good shooting. :thumbsup:
