Maybe my perception is off, but from reading between the lines here, it seems two models of Glock suffer somewhat from "red headed step child" syndrome among the "Glock snObs" The Gap'ers and the G36 I've owned 5 Glocks up til today. all Gen 3 and all with in the last couple years. I sold them all 'cept for my G38...which I LOVE welp, today I brought home Glock # 6. A red headed step child. I new G36..which I like (don't know yet if i "love" it like i do my G38) But if it proves it's self reliable with self defense ammo, it will be a keeper. of the Glocks I sold; G17, G26, G30SF, G37, the only one I "sorta kinda" regret selling was the 26. I really only bought it cause I knew I could make $100 reselling it . I shot a couple mags full thru it and was surprised at how mild mannered and easy/fast shooting it was. I probably would of kept it, but i really didn't have the money to spare at the time...I was just making a buck off it. Which I did, less than 24 hours latter So maybe one day I'll have another 26. then all my Glocks won't be "odd gWocks" like they are now.... ..L.T.A.
my only glock is the g26. what a gun. only 35 parts and as small as my bersa .380. Its an engineering marvel, if i could have only one gun, this would be it.
I was so tempted by the 36. I may end up with one some day. Right now I've got a 26 and a 30...my 27 was stolen.
ive had the G27,G29,G23,G29,G38,G30sf and now due to being laid off im down to just a G30! But i LOVE IT! I guess u could say it is the Granddaddy of the the Red Headed step childs! OLD WISE and doesnt F@&% around! Lol!
I don't know if the 36 is a red headed stepchild. It has a pretty solid following I think. Now the GAP's on the other hand, they are loved by few.
My Red Head is a 38-24-36. Does that count? So that would be equivalent to a 45GAP-40S&W-45ACP in Glockspeak.
My one and only Glock is a G36. The slimmer grip with the single column magazine feels so much better in my hands than the double column mag wells. It's not much larger than the G26 either.
They are real if you can touch them. I've always heard about fake ones but never seen any. I think they live at the end of the rainbow with the leprechauns and unicorns.
