I shoot and sometimes carry a Glock 17 with a Holosun sight. Three months ago I bought a new Sig P365 and two 12 round magazines. It is a great pistol and carries well for me. But, I am thinking I would like to trade the P365 for a Glock 26 mostly for the similarity to the Glock 17 and the 26 can use the 17 magazines. Have you owned a P365 and gone to the 26?

Get the G26 and if you still feel the way you do, then sell the 365.

I have no experience with the 365. I own a 26 and just can’t see what it could do the 26 can’t. I’m sure it’s a fine gun. TBH, though, I never really understood the Glock trigger dingus safety until I dry fired a 365. The one I messed with seemed to have a very light trigger that made me appreciate the dingus on the Glock.

I much prefer service (full) size pistols. Don't have any problems carrying a Glock 31 everyday.

I'm one of those (rare) individuals who likes nothing about the G26 other than that it's a Glock and, therefore, incredibly reliable. For me the grip is too short for its width, making it unpleasant to shoot.

Although I have long fingers (XL to XXL gloves), I have no problem getting a great, comfortable grip on the P365 and putting rounds where I want them.

I look forward to seeing the results of the poll.

Let us know what you ultimately decide to do.

Don't own a 365 ,but do have a Walther pps and Glock 26 as concealment pistols. Wouldn't sell either one.

I don't trade or sell my firearms, but I'd probably come closer to trading my Glock 17. I really don't shoot it much, but my wife loves it. The 26 is a great little handgun.

I have a G26 and a P365. The P365 is easier to conceal and gets carried on a daily basis. The G26 sits untouched in the safe for months on end.

If you prefer Glocks, then get the G26. But, for me, the P365 is the better CCW piece.

Did you write the poll to get the answer you want? Among the other possible choices could be: "I have or had both and prefer the Sig P365." That would get my vote. There is no choice that gets my vote with the current selections. Other choices that could work for me would be: "Trade the Glock 17 for a 365 XL" or "Trade the Glock 17 for the Glock 26."

Unless it involves The accessory rail, there is nothing that you can do with a Glock 17 that you can’t do with a Glock 26. However, there is lots you can do with a Glock 26 that you cannot do with a 17. And don’t get hung up on bullet velocity’s, as long as you have the correct ammo for the velocity you can achieve, you will never get enough velocity out of a 17 to make a substantial difference in stopping power. Pistols suck at stopping Power. According to federal you must cross the 2200 ft./s threshold in order to get a significant stopping power advantage.

I have only handled a G26 in a LGS. I have never fired or carried one. I am sure it is an awesome gun for the intended purpose. That said, I do have the P365 and will likely pick up another at some point in the future. Due to the way the poll is worded I could not respond as the poll was skewed in favor of the the G26. There was no positive response for the P365 in the poll.

That was not my intention. I have edited the poll. Trading the Glock 17 is not an option for me.

Love my G26. Think it shoots way better than me and is easy to cc.

I have had my eye on a SIG P365 at the LGS & like the feel of the pistol in my hands & it's a bit smaller than the G26 but the slide looks like it's a half inch higher on the frame than it needs to be, looks top heavy..
It would be hard for me to trade my Gen 4 G26 for the P365 even though it has night sights.. In fact I love the finish on my 2012 G26 = Frying Pan

    On my end the G26 costs = $399 & the SIG P365 costs = $502

    To be honest I have once owned a SIG Sauer P220ST, P225, P228, P229 & P239 + a Glock 17, 19, 26, 17L & 24..

SIG Makes some nice pistols but I think I'm gonna be keeping the Glock 26 Gen 4..
Being I have never owned a P365, YET, I could also not take you're poll..

If I was you OP I would try an rent a G26 in whatever Gen you want & shoot the SIG side by side with the G26 & see what you're hands & target tell ya..
I should go rent a P365 & shoot it against the G26 myself but think that I'm well taken care of currently with just a G24 & G26..

I owned a P365 and have Gen 5 G26. The G26 can do much more than the Sig. I could have kept the Sig if I wanted but just didn't care for it...

I had a 365 but my poi was off and I had a hard time getting a good grip. I sold it. I returned to my 642 in my pocket and a 26 iwb when I can.

I am not a 9mm guy, but if your primary pistol is a G17, there is no back up gun that makes more sense than a G26. It shares mags/ammo with your G17, can share some holsters, has the exact same trigger pull, parts are cheap, practically anyone can work on them with only a simple punch, and while some may be equal in terms of reliability (debatable)... None will be better.

I realize that Glock's can get boring after a while, but I dont think there is a "better" fighting pistol.

I would drop that Sig like a bad habit, and come on home for the win.
