    I know these what should I get threads get old, but I got a $2000 bonus at work and feel like blowing it all on a gun. :supergrin:

    Any ideas of what I should get? What would you get if you had a spare $2000? :cool:

    Keep in mind I live in a AWB state so no EBRs.

    Kel-Tec RFB, about $1400 leaving you plenty of room for Ammo, optics and other accessories

    ETA-oops, just noticed that you are in Santa Barbara (nice place, went to grammar, middle and high school there)

    You can still get the RFB with 10 round magazines...not sure about the EBF status of the RFB.

    I would recommend a crap ton of reloading gear, your state already signed your ammo death warrant.

    $2K won't get one from them, but there are like new ones if you search. My favorite is the Kobra Carry.

    Depends on where I am.
    I'd suggest looking at a nice 1911. Here are a few of my favorites from Bac's collection:

    Buy a Colt Gold Cup 70 Series 45 ACP, and spend the rest for ammo, George.

    Hello;

    I love 1911's also, but being in this state- one has to consider that semi-auto rifles & shotguns are always being targeted by the anti's.

    Having said that, I'm also looking at one of the 1,500 to 2,000 1911's. :wavey:

    It's a sickness I tell you, and I LOVE IT.

    take care

    Me personally I would get a Mossy 930 combo and a Savage Scout with stripper clip guide.

    As a fellow Californian I should point out I did see a Mini 14 stripper clip guide on Gunbroker that someone posted a link to the other day here. A couple of factory Ruger 10 rounders and a bunch of 10 round stripper clips would a really nice version of a EBR in total compliance with our state laws.

    I would look around and get a good deal on maybe a custom 1911 or a Colt 6920 and a Colt XSE which would be just atad bit higher than 2000 in cash if you shop around.:wavey:
