Maybe if you got it before they quit selling to the public. Now they’re already inflated and you have to hope they don’t reverse the decision later.

I made several thousand off PSA lowers during the last rush, I would argue there are better investments.

A factory gun will always sell faster and for more $ than a home built gun that likely wont even bring the sum of all the parts purchased

Not when there is a shortage or the price of factory guns are over priced ala Colt.

I can build an AR for ~$350. If you want one I can still sell it for far less than a comparable factory gun and profit. You're overlooking volume selling.

Yeah, not really, any AR was going for the same price. I was getting almost a grand for a complete lower regardless of roll mark

What year was that? I'm wondering if the word has gotten out that roll marks are more valuable than functioning weapons to the general public...

Not sure 15-16? Wasn’t it right after Sandy Hook?

I'm new to the whole "twist up your own" revolution. Dunno. Seems like a sound investment given the overblown prices for stuff I can build in my garage. Colt being a major offender of basic ass rifles.

Yeah, after I served as the assistant armorer on deployment and got to go to the SSC where they spun on new barrels and replaced parts, the mystery of the AR was lost on me.

Especially now that my thermal pig shooting business is booming and guns I built are hunting 200-300 nights a year with as many as 8 afield a night.

With the exception of KAC, I’ve owned atleast a gun from almost every major brand, the roll mark is not important to me

Got my complete stealth lower receiver yesterday... No issues or problems, parts had some oil on them as typical. I will be swapping out the stock and pistol grip for BCM ones...

Now I have to get another upper for it...lol

I'm new to ar's just got my 10.5" pistol everything went together well and looks good. Seems to cycle smoothly. I need to run some rounds through it and zero the irons. I guess take it for what it's worth which isn't much though cause I'm a virgin to the platform.

so here I am watching a pbs documentry on the Spanish American war when i decide hey its time to hit my 10.5 inch poor state armory pistol with some lube on the bolt carrier. I pull the carrier and notice the bolt moves a bit freely. sure enough it fails a gravity test. pull the bolt out and one of the gas rings is missing a huge section. this bolt and carrier has about 500 rounds on it.

what a ****ing joke. I was an idiot to buy this garbage.

Interesting how one guy seems to have all the bad luck, and just keeps finding reasons to come back and complain

You think they assembled your bolt and gas rings? I don't. I'd imagine they bought it just like that. Gas rings are $3 and a wear item. Take a deep breath.

So I'm very new to ar's what malfunction will a worn or missing gas ring cause? I assume they are pretty easy to replace. Theres a lot I don't know. I google alot. Just curious and trying to educate myself.

Whole system runs on gas. Broken gas ring prevents a proper seal. No seal means no or little gas to work the action. Very easy to replace.

I took Drama class in H.S. and as such find some of our "actors" performances here at GT... revealing? Enlightening, maybe. :dunno:

Gas Ring blowout? Really? (caca occurs) I hope it all gets sorted out with minimal fuss.

    Can I recommend...?
