Makes you wonder if the FN barrels PSA uses are rejects bought cheap.
I’ve bought a few rifle kits from PSA and never had any issues. I’m not doubting anyone’s claims as there are enough of them that one must believe them. I have an FN barreled upper that shoots as well or better than my other chrome lined barrels from Colt, Noveske, BCM etc.. One of the 6920’s has a canted FSB, had, I chop them off anyway.
One positive note is PSA put AR’s in a lot of hands in 2012 when everyone was else sold out.
It certainly does seem to be a polarizing company. Apparently I'm among the lucky ones because I've ordered three uppers and a lower parts kit and everything has been great.
LoL! You're a natural diplomat. Well said. Maybe PSA and Taurus should start a support group?
Maybe those hurt by Taurus and PSA need a group too.
5 moa is what i got out of the 16 inch middy. i'm not the only one, TFB TV did a 16 inch psa dissy vs a mini 14 and the mini was more accurate.
I have bought name brand stuff from them. They have some nice cases. But I would never buy anything they made. When I bought my ARs from the gun shows I only bought those assembled with good brand parts. There are vendors selling stuff made with their parts there as well. You can see the quality difference when they are side by side. PSA is garbage. Put one next to any quality rifle and look at them carefully. You will see it. And at the gun show before this shortage started there was little if any price difference. The quality stuff was cheap as well.

That's why you can have them notify you when it's back in stock. Wait a couple of weeks and it will probably be in stock and on sale.
I've been working on these things (AR/M16/M4 rifles) since the Army sent me to armorer's school in 1984, when we were still using M16A1s. I've had PSA rifles in 5.56, .308 and 9mm. The parts were made by the same companies that make the parts for every other AR assembler and they fit and work great. 5 rifles and a .300 pistol and I'm yet to have a malfunction or problem with any. I'm calling your comment BS. I think you're repeating what sounds cool on the internet, among people who pretend to know a lot more about guns than they really do.
I agree with Bren, they aren't making their own parts. Now they may have some assembly issues put the parts? Nope...
If you haven't had issues with PSA, you haven't bought enough of their stuff. Bad chamber reaming, bad muzzle crowns, crappy EPT triggers, canted front sights, loose parts, piss poor/non-existent CS, over-all bad QC, just to name a few.
I've 2K rounds through their AK and probably another 2K through two of their pistol kits with no issues. How many more do I need?
What, you've got a sample of 3 out of Lord Knows how many??? Let's just say, I've got a lot more than that.
Why? If they are so bad why keep buying more of them?
You think they make crap, yet you keep buying them?
Because they're cheap, local, and most things can be fixed eventually.
I could lay all of my AR's side by side and nobody would be able to guess which ones were PSA or $1500 custom builds.
Well, how do you propose we do it?
