I had drunken chicken tonight!

    And man was it oh so good. Juciest chicken I've ever tasted! Cooked it in my Weber Kettle (barely fit)with Big Green Egg natural charcoal. I used John Henry's East Texas Pecan Rub and boy did that add a lot of great flavor. If you haven't tried this, you need to! It's great!

    Is drunken chicken the method where you insert the beer can in the chicken while cooking?

    Yessir. Only I use a piece of stainless steel pipe(3"OD) on a little rig I put together. Samey Samey.

    I use this same method for cooking Cornish hens. (Hint: Substitute a small V-8 can for a beer can. ;)) This makes awesome Cornish hens.

    I start by making Bloody Marys with the V-8. I pour a little beer into the cans for liquid. I've thought about using a pineapple juice can for a small turkey but haven't tried it yet.

    I do it on a Turkey as well, with a large Bush's Beans Can full of beer..
