They should use that slide for the G39.

    G30S Fast Facts:

The G30S weighs 3.53 oz less than the G30 Gen4 due almost entirely to the lighter slide. When comparing the two with a fully loaded mag in both, it works out to about a 10.5% reduction in loaded weight (30.16 oz vs 33.69 oz).

What makes the G30S so much better then the alreay G36??? I am in the market for a G36, but if the G30S is the best thing since sliced bread i would probably go that route. It's just a question, The only thing i see the G30S is that the 36 isnt is it hold 10 rds where the G36 only hold 6. So is that the only major advantage

I will wait until the Gen 4 comes out. The third gen gets too slick.

The G30S looks nice but Glock is missing the boat in not having a single stack 9 product offering. If Glock can reduce a .45 slide down to 1.13 in the Glock 36, technically a 9mm slide could be reduced to less than 1 inch. While the new G30S offering looks appealing, I still believe a single stack thinner 9 and .40 would be a much bigger commercial success. Given the popularity of ccw today, it explains the success of the Kahr PM/CM 9's, as well as the success of the new S&W Shield. IMO, thin is in and while I love my G26, something thinner would be even more comfortable. IMO if Glock came out with a single stack line in 9 and .40, they'd be big sellers, cuz it just doesn't seem logical that the thinnest Glock is a .45 in the G36.

For me a single stack 9MM would never fit into my plan. I want capacity in my CC choice as well as size. A G26 is a great CC gun if your looking for small.

    This.
Not so sure they will either. They probably would have waited the extra few months or what ever to release it and use the slide on the Gen4 G30 to make this a Gen4 model.
