she let me fondle her too!......My soon to be new G20 arrived from Glock this week and I went in to the gun shop to fill out the transfer paperwork.

I ordered it directly from Glock via the armorers program discount. It arrived in exactly the time frame they said it would take at the course, which is 8 weeks, but worth the wait in my opinion, as I got to save some bucks that will buy a pile of brass!

The G20 is one Im gonna love!
It does have the new nitride based finish on the slide, but not on the barrel, looked very even, much like the "old" finish on a gen 2.5. There was one "splotch" but it appeared to be oil, as it wiped off.

I love the wider grip on the G20, fits my hand like a glove, feels very similar to the grip on a Berreta 92. Cant wait to turn in the paperwork on Monday!

Hi, The mailman came with the ammended CCW Card, so....
I picked up my New G20 from the shop yesterday!
I was bummed that it didnt come before opening day but I am thrilled and fortunate to get her -the new G20.
Now, If I can sneak past the women folk today, (they get cranky for some reason when you leave for the range on a holiday-honest I am only talking going for a half hour or so- and as much as I want (not) to hear about blackfriday tactics and strategy) will go to the range to sight in, test out my handloads, and Friday should be out hunting with her!
    Happy Thanksgving All !!

    Enjoy!

My recently acquired G20SF has the grey finish on the barrel.

Thanks, I already love this pistol, I like the standard size glocks way more than I thought I would, My G32 feels mighty small all of a sudden.
My G20 has the new grey finish on the slide, but the barrel looks the same as my other earlier glocks, I will have to place the barrels side by side and compare...........

I just placed the barrels side by side, my G20 barrel appears to have the new finish on it too.
It is hard to tell the difference at first, it is a little more grey than black but very close.
The barrel markings are different too, when holdng the pistol muzzel straight out away from you, looking down on hood, left side of hood top now says "10MM Auto" followed by the Hex symbol, right side of hood top is stamped with "GlOCK AT".
Looking at right side (elevation view) of pistol Serial Number is in same location.

Hmm...my Glock doesn't have the hex symbol. It was test fired in August of this year.

How do you tell when it was test fired-I dont get the empty cartridge because the gun shop turns them in to the state police here. It makes me wonder what the AT stands for. It used to be the hex and GLOCK logo was on the right side elevation view of the barrel hood.

The Glock 20 is my favorite gun I own...including all my rifles and shotguns. Perfection IMO.In fact I'm currently on my way to the deer stand with my Glock loaded with 180gr Buffalo Bore JHPs.

The only way I could tell is from the stamp on the manilla envelope the test case is in. The date of test fire and the tech's name are stamped on the envelope.
