HOG BUTT ROLLS
1/4 cup warm (115) water
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter (room temp)
3/4 cup warm (115) milk
1 package yeast (or 1 Tablespoon if you have bulk)
1 beaten egg (at room temp put it in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes)
When the yeast foams add
3 cups of flour
Beat until smooth
Cover let rise until doubled
Punch down divide in 2 parts
Flour the board and the top of the dough roll out into a 12 to 14 inch circle
Cut in to triangles maybe 6 pieces
Roll from the wide end
End up with the point on top and twist to make the tail
Take the Back of a table knife and make the crease underneath the tail
Fold into a u shape
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet cover with plastic wrap
Do the same with the other half of the dough
Let rise until the double
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
Remove the plastic wrap and bake 9 to 10 minutes
Until lightly browned.
For something that looks like a hog's butt, Those sure look tasty.

My son ran into one of the judges
and after they got finished laughing
about how they looked
she asked for the recipe.
If someone were to buy a 144 of those one could say they had a case of arse!
Now imagine those stuffed with some good smoked BBQ, maybe chopped or pulled and a dish of slaw & stew.
Man, now I want some BBQ. Me and my big mouth & ideas.

you divide the dough in half and cut each piece into 6.
I have had Pepperoni rolls and got the deli to slice the 3inch kind wafer thin and rolled 3 slices inside each one.
They were better than bought ones.
But they are good plain, if you can call a hog butt plain.
