I was at a show in Kingsport, TN and ran into a full auto rifle of some sort, price tag was $33,000 :wow: and it wasn't nearly as purdy as my AR, just had the happy switch . Guess I would of got it had it not been for the $200 tax stamp, that just put it out of my range

    33 large!:wow:

Guess anybody who buys that rifle won't be posting here on Glock Talkabout the high cost of ammo !

Do you recall exactly, or even close to what it was? 33,000 should at least get you a tripod mounted belt fed unit!!:50cal:

Was at Cabelas and they had a shotgun, think it was a Beretta, and it was stickered at $17k.

$33,000 will get you a nice M60 or an M2HB.

Was it the Meadowview show? I've not been to it in 6 months or more. Last time I went the prices were outrageous and selection was awful. I wont go back till things settle down more.

Show in Richmond last weekend had an MP5 for $20K. That seems to be the going rate for those. Buying ammo for auto weapons is like buying gas for a Ferrari. If you can afford them the expendables are pocket change.

I was just sitting here wondering if I could afford $250 for another used Keltec.
Kinda put everything in prospective and reinforced a life lesson for me-
    I AM POOR!

Don'tcha just wish you could go back in time about 20 years and "stock up"? :wow:

There was a graduate paper (not sure if it was Master's or PhD thesis) about the "false economics" of the full-auto law that went into effect in the late 80s - made for interesting reading...

I shoud of looked but the fall on the floor hurt when I seen the price, it was black, did thave a tripod on the front and I'm pretty sure it was belt fed. I'm pretty sure it was .50Cal. The same guy have some Uzi looking pistols, full auto for $4400 and $4,800.

Yea, that is where I was, I'm like you, went a while back and swore I wouldn't go back but my BIL just got into guns and didn't have anyone to go with him so being the nice guy I am, I went.

I'm not sure, I just looked at it and they started getting out the fingerprint cards and the application, tried explaining the process I had to go through, at that point I ran.

I always wonder if these guys at gun shows are just show-offs. Wouldn't the guy looking to drop $33 large on a weapon know right where to buy one?

33,000! Dang... I could satisfy a whole chunk of my hunger for more guns with that. Hell, I'd be happy with 2 grand. I just want an AR15... but ****, with 33K I could buy 10 EXTREMELY nice ones...

Be better to go back to 1968 and have an *** kicking of epic proportions. Get rid of the tax stamp BS and put a road block on every other feel good law that was tried.
