Recovering from a stroke myself. As much as I try I can't rush the healing. Pretty depressing. Good to hear you are riding again.

I've ridden for over 35 years. I remember my first road bike. It was somewhere in 1982 iirc and I'll never forget the feeling it gave me every time I rode it.
Over the years that feeling ebbed a bit and now although I cannot imagine life w/o my bikes in it, it's not that same exhilarating excitement like back then.
Over the years I've bought some really cool bikes hoping to get that feeling back but it only lasts for a short while and then it's back to normal.
I know what you felt when you went on your ride, I've been chasing it for a lot of years.
    Enjoy it Sir.

Brother, That is the best post I have read on GT in a very looooong time.
I am really blessed by your testimony amigo.

Although my wife is out there in the medical profession, I am NOT a fan of doctors and meds. Sometimes we need them, and thank God for the times He helps us through them. But what joy and grace, He brings to our hearts, when it is all by our faith in Christ, that He 'confounds the doctors,' and we are doing what 'they say,' we never would again...

Life is filled with pain and trials and loss. It is how we handle it all that counts. How we go through it all.

Once your bucked off that bronc, you know.... Get right back on. Many "Bronc's in life," and they come in all forms shapes and sizes, getting 'back on,' is what counts, and never giving up. God has got it covered for those who trust in him. ;)

Stay in hope and faith towards Christ. He will "continue" to take you through amigo! ;)
Ride that Harley for me, I've had a passel of bikes in my life, (yes, even us outback folks love muscle cars and good bikes) but haven't had a Harley yet.

I pray the Lord strengthen you more and more each day as you trust in him, and heal you completely in Jesus name!

    Ride on Brother...! ;) :motorcycle:

Wonderful story; very happy for you. God tells us not to worry but to trust. I'm convinced He works miracles every day we just don't see or don't realize it. This sounds like one of them.

Wow, when i posted my story, i did not realize there would be so many people that would even respond to it. Hell i wasnt even sure it would be worthy of even telling it, but i just wanted to share my happiness with all of you. Such very kind words from you all! Though its been a very hard 2yrs on me, i wish all of you could feel what i`m feeling after being able to sit in the saddle again and ride my harley again after a long battle and coming back from a broken neck. Broken neck`s aren`t for sissies, its no joke. I remain VERY humbled by it... many people who get injured aren`t as lucky.

The REAL hero`s in my life, is my wife, my surgeons, nurses, and the great Lord above. None ever once gave up in helping me heal. I dont even know how i will ever be able to pay them all back for what they have done, for me. I do know, that this DID change my life. I think ALL the people around me knew my determination was stronger than anything they had ever seen. Most people would have given up. If you fight and work hard enough for your dreams, it will happen.

A planned secret ride this weekend:
Its my wife`s birthday this weekend, she wants to ride. I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday... she said, just a ride with her husband is all she wants. God Bless this woman. She likes lobster, she dosent know it yet, but we`re going to ride to the lobster restaurant up on the lake that i made private reservations for. Its a long ride, and i`m MORE than ready! She also dosent know that there will be ALL of our riding friends from the MC and gun club (and some that dont ride anymore due to age) will be waiting there to share her birthday with her an i. This woman deserves so much more than i can give her. Thank you Lord, for giving me such a wonderful wife and a great life.

Thank you guys, i cant even tell you in words, how much i appreciate you all.:cheers:
