Pound for pound, I eat more eggs than anything else I can think of. I can eat them breakfast, lunch, dinner, and for snacks. I love 'um. I just had 4 and it made me think of creating this thread. When we go shopping, we take 2 cars...one for groceries and one for eggs, hehehe. Jokes aside, the wife and I usually buy 5 18 packs at a time and they don't last long. Poundage wise, the only thing that comes remotely close is fish.

One of these 5 is at every one of my meals but eggs beats them all:

    1) eggs
    2) fish (mostly salmon and tilapia, bass and blue gill when they are biting)
    3) avocados
    4) yogurt (mostly Activia)
    5) green beans

I eat a few other things, but sporadically. I've just lost my taste for a lot of things. The only fruit I can tolerate is a honey crisp apple. Snack foods upset my stomach. Bread and pasta feel like they ferment in my stomach. Good steak is highway robbery. If all I could buy was in the list of 5, I'd be ok for a long time. They are the only things I can stand to eat, and enjoy, every day.

    What is your cholesterol level?
Good list but I won't eat tilapia, too much comes from questionable sources - China.

On that list the only 2 I eat are avocados & fish.

I only eat wild caught fish. Cod, Salmon, Swordfish, Tuna are all great choices. It helps that one of my best friends regularly goes offshore fishing.

The fat in free range grass fed beef is more of the healthy fats and less of the unhealthy than other beef.

The issues with pasta and bread could be a reaction to gluten. You can have sensitivity to it without it being full blown celiac disease.

I found out the hard way that diet has a huge affect on your health. It's not as simple as calories in and calories out.

I used to be like you. with the eggs. i can hardly stand them now. I can eat them with meat and veggies tossed in. but my days of 4 jumbo eggs for breakfast or a late night snack just plain, are long gone. funny how things change.

I like eggs. The Wife and I go through two 18 packs a week. And I don't think we eat a lot of eggs to be honest. Eggs are often over looked kinda like bread and butter. They're just there until you start to pay attention to them.

I live on brown rice, sweet potatoes, lean beef, turkey, chicken and Greek yogurt. Once a week I eat eggs, salmon and asparagus.

I love eggs but will only eat them once a week because of the cholesterol. Great food though!

I used to eat eggs anytime, all the time. I don’t know, I just can’t stomach them much now. I’ll eat them occasionally, but it’s unappealing t9 think about eating them all the time.

For some time when my son was a bachelor, he ate rice and skinless chicken every night. He ate so much rice he bought a rice cooker, and was buying rice by the sackful. He was lifting, and developed six pack abs.

How do you prepare those eggs? Always the same or do you mix it up?

To answer the question though, I have half a sweet potato with every meal of the day, breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast is a turkey patty, half a baked sweet potato topped with cinnamon, and a banana. Lunch is a huge salad containing a chicken breast, an avocado, mixed greens, celery, carrot, cucumber topped with an apple cider vinaigrette. Dinner is either baked or grilled fish, a roasted chicken, a grilled steak, beef scramble, or beef burger with a side of veggies of some sort and baked sweet potato or baked sweet potato fries. Desert is a smoothie made with frozen fruit and coconut milk that comes out the consistency of soft serve ice cream.

I'm kind of over wanting a variety of food and am satisfied with simple things that are healthy.

I never ate and will never eat Tilapia after seeing the Dirty Jobs episode at the fish farm. I’m not going to eat a fish that eats another fishes **** (waste products). And that was a U.S. fish farm. I can’t imagine the foreign (China) ones.

My main staple is grilled boneless skinless chicken breasts. I buy a big package of them and a bottle of zesty Italian salad dressing and dump it all into a big ziplock bag and put it in the fridge. A grilled chicken breast and salad with vinaigrette dressing is my supper 4 or 5 nights a week. Boring, I know.
