Say hello to Malena!!! She's on her way from New Braunfels, Tejas courtesy of
Very Sweet!!! Now... what is it exactly? I'm not up to date on the latest and greatest streetbikes since I sold my Ducati Monster. But I like t lurk around here and imagine getting back into bikes someday soon.
That's the 2007 Aprilia Tuono (2nd generation). It's based on the second generation RSV Mille as was the 1st gen Tuono based on the 1st gen Mille.
It's a full-out sport bike with comfortable seating position and no fairing.
Sweet!! Nothing quite like getting a new bike.
I don't know squat about Aprilias....what's the HP and weight of that beastie?
Finding actual power and weight from Aprilia is like trying to get an honest answer from a politician.
Best guest is wet weight at around 450-bs. Crank HP is around 133 and torque is low 70s.
When I get it, I'll break that mutha in (wouldn't take long to rack up 600-miles ) and then I'll dyno it. I think that the Brits have been dynoing these things at around 119-120 HP with stock setting.
Mine will have dual slip-ons, airbox kit mod, derestricted intake, derestricted vapor collector, and the new Aprilia Map 2 fuel mapping to take advantage of freed-up breathing.
Sweet ride, man. I love the CF front fender.
Pics of the bike being prepped. The OZ forged aluminum rims were re-powdercoated to be glossy black (I didn't care for the original blue color much), the Ohlins rear shock is from the Aprilia Nera (top of the line 2nd generation RSVR Mille). Fork slider, frame slider and rear axle slider too. I ain't leavin' nuthin' to chance this time. Hehe.
That is one BA looking bike! You are gonna have way too much fun on that!
