With fiber optic night sights, 4 mags, and a Sig holster for $565. Great deal, good deal, ok deal, or bad deal?

The price itself is OK. Have you handled the SAS? They have ported barrels and a completely different sight system. I personally did not like it, but some do. Even among Sig folks, they seem to agree that the regular version is fine enough. I never worried or had snags with my 365 so that part is kind of silly to me.

It’s got to be the silliest guns made by a major manufacturer. But I’d sure rather have it than nothing if it was my only option.

I'd pass. That sight system has been a mess in multiple iterations. I also don't like ports.

That SAS sight thing is just plain wonky to me. I handled it for about 30 seconds at the shop and decided not for me.

It's supposedly a deep undercover pistol. If you don't need that, pass.

I bought the sas slide for my gun. I'm not a port guy, and if I didn't like i could always sell it. Turns out it works great for me. Its my fastest sd gun. You need to shoot one to make sure it will work for you.

No ports for me. I have 2 barrels for my .44 mag, and 1 is ported :)

If you like it that's a good price in today's market.

Not a bad price but the SAS probably won't draw the same money as a regular version so I vote OK price.
But I would also vote, skip the SAS unless you really like it.

Neighbor had the choice of either pistol and chose the standard sight 365. When we looked them over, the SAS 365, seemed gimmicky. Neither of us liked it. After shooting my neighbors new 365, I called the dealer up and asked him to look for a 365 XL for me and I’ll retire my Shield to the safe.

I also bought the slide and didn't like the sights at all.

Price is fine. Love the smoothed slide on SIG's SAS models. Don't see value in the ports, and despite hearing some people liking the sights on this gun, I am still uncertain. I don't own one, but did handle one and it sounds great if snags are an issue, but a little less interesting if normal sights are working fine (and I am confident in using them!).

If you love the gun, get it. If you don't love those sights, it is a pretty big risk in my opinion. If you had a used 365, resale would be easy. If you have those sights, a significant percentage of the market wouldn't want it because of concerns with getting comfortable with the sights, so it will be a bit more limited in resale, I suspect. Good luck!

The price is good with the extra mags. As others have stated the sights are different. The slide release is recessed also so you pretty much have to slingshot it. I think they are nice pistols and great for pocket or small holster carry. It was not for me though, I sold it and ended up using a 43x.

I also did not like the sights on the SAS.

    pro's: great for pocket carry

cons: short barrel that's ported, sights have been known to have issues of not having POA same as POI

personally, I'd go with the standard P365. it also pocket carries well.

Thanks for the insight, guys. I ended up passing. I’m holding out for a decent price on a P320 in .45 if anyone has a line on one.
