This is all we need. Idiocy in motion.
Prob should of posted the link where people could go to it instead of the title of the thread, but yea what an idiot.
Sorry my friend, this is new to me tranfering an article.
A friend called me from the show just after the officials shoo'ed them all out. I am volunteering at the state gun rights table tomorrow and wasn't sure if the show would go on. Apparently it is.
How many safety rules were violated for this to happen. And, if the ****** that brought in the loaded gun or the retired deputy in charge of checking said weapon is reading...thanks a ****ing lot!
can't fix stupid.
Seems like more accidents happen with hunting rifles/shotguns then blackrifles semiauto-pistols.
"People didn't panic and people acted very responsibly,"
If anything it shows that (competent) gun-owners know how to keep calm/collected when they hear gun-fire. Unlike non gun owners who freak out whenever guns are even mentioned.
Yep incredibly stupid, all we need are idiots like this help our cause.
Gun rights isn't a friggin civil rights issue...its a constitutional law issue...
To those who seek to remove your Constitutional rights, it is an us versus them. Therefore, it's a cause.
That's not our choice, but it's reality. People can grandstand all they want but all it will take is one ruling from the Supreme Court and your law could be altered in ways you've never imagined.
It's sad, but protecting our Constitutional rights from the government created by the same document, have in fact become a 'cause'.
Last year at a show put on by the same promoter a guy working for a dealer shot himself with his carry pistol. He was unloading it to comply with the promoter's rule against loaded firearms.
There is a large influx of new shooters, a renewed interest from established shooters and therefore more of a chance for an accident.
There are still many more accidents of other natures out there that don't get the focus of media attention.
Still, lets all be extra diligent and careful.
So I "heard" today while at the show that the shotgun in question was a Saiga. Take it with a grain of salt.
The safety table guy racked the bolt 4 times and ejected 4 shells. He pulled the trigger when done. I guess the magazine had 5 shells in it. All this begs to wonder;
1) why was there anything in the mag?
2) why was the mag inserted into the gun?
3) why did the show's "safety" guy violate all 4 rules of safe gun handling? Oh yeah, he's retired LE...he's an expert.
Now, you'll never get that story reported like that in the media because it would paint the show and the deputy in a bad light. Everyone failed here as far as I'm concerned.
Did they take the guy out back and beat him afterward?
Worse if it is someone else clearing it.
i was 15 people back of this guy lol . i wuz there
