Is it ok to put my tower pc behind my lcd hdtv on the tv stand?

I am worry about the effects of the lcd panel on the hard drive (magnetism) but I dont think there would be a problem....

You won't have any issues. just ensure that there is enough space to allow for proper airflow around the fans of the HTPC and the vent ports of the HDTV.

LCD tv's don't use the same technology as CRT's, and in your specific query they don't use electron guns which are aimed or bent by magnetic fields, thus no problems with giving off nor being influenced by strong magnetic fields.

    Ok,

I couldnt ever remember reading any warnings about puting it next to magnets or such so I thought it was good to go.

That will save me a bit of room on the small htpc console/center Anyways its got emptiness all around it so air flow should be good
