I got rid of Netflix when they split up their services. I'm thinking of getting the streaming service but I remember hearing about them possibly losing contracts. How's the content looking? Are they still getting decent movies and TV shows?

Poor, at the moment, which is strange because they are allegedly pushing everyone to streaming.

The selection last I looked was very dated... B-movies from the '90s and whatnot.

Most of my friends have cancelled the streaming portion of their subscription. Some have moved to Apple TV as a result.

Agreed. Piss poor. If it wasn't for my kids watching stuff on the Xbox and Wii, I wouldn't have it. It's amazing to see this once great company fall so quickly. It must be ran by chimpanzees.

I dropped Netflix because they weren't streaming newer movies, only newer TV shows.

I really believe the movie studios share at least an equal portion of the blame for holding onto the ways they made money for the past century. Eventually they'll have to embrace streaming, but things like the Netflix problem would change until they do.

Looks like I'll be sticking to redbox for movies.

I was wanting to get back into Californication but I don't like watching TV shows on the computer. Oh well.

I do amazon prime streaming and get free 2 day shipping from amazon. Same crappy selection as Netflix, both have a couple gems hidden in a pile of crap

Dropped Netsucks streaming long ago. Between Roku channels, Amazon Prime and torrents, we get everything we want.

Oh, and Blockbuster 3-at-a-time DVD plan via mail.

Not very good. They rarely add new content and the movies they have are mostly low rated crappy movies. Same with their TV shows. Now there is some good content on there but more bad than good,

Another one that dumped netflix because of their sorry streaming selections.

It's for the best. I've got a killer Biz Policy class where the prof is trying to raise the ranking of the university all by himself.

Just looked it up. It says $2/2 nights. Is there no $1/1 night type deal? I don't know why you'd need to stream a movie 2 days.

It means that once you rent it, it's available that long. I usually get the Hi-Def versions so I pay $5-6 per film, but the quality is excellent. Since we only rent every so often, it's worth it. I cannot remember the last time we streamed a Netflix film for family night.

I think it's great. Every night I watch movies and cable TV series.

Since I don't have cable all the cable series shows are new to me.
And since I haven't been to the movies in 30 years there's a good selection of movies, old and new, to watch.

Lots of good TV series you probably missed. No good movies though.

I agree. Once I catch up on a few series, I'm bailing.

Hulu Plus for shows, Netflix for movies. With those two, it's more than enough.
