I'm kind of confused. Glock stock front sights has a white dot, how should I position this dot relativly to target?

    1. Center of white dot to the center of target.
    2. Top of white dot right under the center of target.

Please help! I have stock fixed rear sights also.

Make your sights level with an equal gap on either side of the front sight.

Now, imagine the top the of the front sight is your horizontal line and the middle of the front sight is your vertical. Where the horizontal and vertical meet is where your bullet should hit. This doesn't hold true though, your going to have to adjust for range and ammo.

Odd, I love the glock factory sites, I wish they made night sites that looked exactly like the factory sites myself.

Thanks to reply and the picture, now I undestand why I'm shooting few inches high and missing metal plates.

Yup. Ignore the white, and shoot them like standard all-black irons. The bullet will land where the top edge of the front sight is.

Swap the sights out, and you'll be surprised at the difference. Glock sights are some of the worst installed on any gun.

You obviously have never shot a run-and-gun game like USPSA or IDPA with them, then.

They're very effective CQC sights but obviously not designed for competition. I do wish they were metal though.:)

I've not done any shooting competitions however I have done many classes with moving/shooting portions of them and I always do just fine. I might not get a bullseye with every shoot, but every shot would kill someone.

IMO, and I know I'm going to catch a lot of flak for this. Glocks are combat pistols not target pistols. They are great, durable, and accurate enough to kill someone without to much trouble. But many many of the hand guns out there are a lot more accurate then a glock for target shooting.

As for combat sights, they are excellent.

You use them by gently placing them in the garbage. Get some Meprolight night sights.

Sorry guys. I don't like the stock sights either.:wavey:

You can get steel rear Glock sights (with the white outline) and steel front white-dot front sights made by Glock and others.

For real life combat or self defense I don't think anyone will use ANY sights.
