Something just killed my system disk. I'll take this opportunity to upgrade to a bigger hard drive and reinstall XP. In the mean time I can only boot up in Safe mode. How can I retrieve emails from Thunderbird that I've been storing on personal folders and move these to the new system? Thanks.

Replace the hard drive with the new bigger one.Install Windows XP then add old hard disk as a slave drive.
