I'm in Florida and want to trade my Glock 19 for someone's Sig 266 in 9mm.

    My post is here: http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=326369

Since a person with whom I will be trading will be unknown to me, how best to make this trade with the widest margin of safety so as not to be burned by a bad deal. Ideally, I'd want someone in central Florida so I could do a face-to-face trade, but that isn't likely.

    So, what are your suggestions?

find a gun shop listed in the phone book in their town.
call the gun shop and tell them what you are doing.
You send your money to the gun shop.
The person with the gun will go to the shop you picked out and bring the gun.
The shop owner will only give him the money if.......
    (A) the gun is in ok condition.
    (B) If they have the gun of course ;)
This is better than sending someone someone money and waiting for them to ship.

I'm not really planning on money being involved. I'd like it to be an even exchange.
