I recently acquired a Glock 22C RTF2 40 S&W pistol. I really like the weapon a lot! I spoke with a friend who has a Glock 23C RTF2 in his collection, and he advised me that Glock made (50) of the RTF2 "C" models and that they are extremely rare. Is this true? If it happens to be so, what would the value be rated at 99% (not interested in selling it just curious about the value)? I looked on Gunbroker and was unable to find a RTF2 "C" model for sale. It appears to be so (rare), but I am not for sure. Any factual information regarding this circumstance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks yall. Be safe.

They are pretty rare. I've never even seen one before. I think that grip is a little too rough on the skin and the clothes, so I really never looked for one. I have only heard of a few g23c with that rtf2 frame as well.

The frame stippling feels solid when holding the pistol, but I have not fired it yet. It is certainly too rough for concealed carry. I know a small city PD not too far from my house and their officers are having issue with their RTF frames rubbing funky spots on their uniform shirts. I like it because it is certainly different than the "norm". Thx pres, be safe.

I couldn't say anything the other day about these, because I hadn't had the opportunity to add one to my collection yet.:whistling: That changed today, so I can breathe easier. :)

I am one of the guys that picked up a G23C RTF2 last year when I heard about them because they were not an advertised model (not many people had them or had even heard about them - I even ran into a Glock sales guy that thought I was making it up). I don't have a clue about how many were actually made but up until just a few weeks ago, all appeared to be in the NGD 7xx to 8xx range SN range - that had me thinking that there were at least less than 200 made (unfortunately someone has since posted that they had one in the Pxx range, which might mean more have entered the market). When I posted about it in the RTF2 thread, only a few others chimed in to say they had one. Then another fellow mentioned in the thread that he had a G22C RTF2 - so I had to look into that.

Needless to say, I did confirm that they existed (this was in October 2010) and just today, got to add one to my collection. It is a RTF2 with 'gills', 'born' on 4/12/10. Does your SN happen to start with the prefix PEX and fall in a range between 000 and 050? Both of ours does - his SN is a 00x while mine is a 04x. If so, that might lend credence to your buddies story. If not, I would still say they are EXTREMELY UNCOMMON.

In any case, it is a cool gun and definitely one of the 'rarer' Glock models that very few people have. Hang on to it and maybe one day we will find out the actual production numbers on them.

PS: Before anyone asks, I will get some pics up by Sunday. :tongueout:

If I knew how to post pics, I certainly would. I'll have to research it and see what I can do. Thanks yall for the information. Njanear, did you pick up your "C" model RTF2 at Ed's? Just curious. I am enthralled with mine! I plan on shooting it, but I do not want to sell it.

Nice pics! I received my 22C RTF2 from the original owner, and there weren't any warning stickers on any of the mags (he must have already taken them off). It is the 1st ported weapon of any kind that I have ever owned. I still want the 23C RTF2. Hopefully when I get the cash, Ed's will still have some left.
