I'm curious if this is considered a good achievement or not...and by an Air Guard unit no less.
As an Army guy, I'm just curious since the 119th is a few miles away.
The William Tell competition mainly looks at fighter tactics.
The Hughes Trophy looks at missile quals; missions flown; operational readiness, and flight safety.
To win both in a year is impressive to me.
When my squadron was presented the Hughes Trophy it was a big deal.
