We have two miniature Dachshunds; Why, I don't know, other than a strong desire for small armless creatures that love us, and bark at nothing :)

Kelsey, rest her (Blue Heeler / Lab) pup soul, would be entirely content with one feeding a day. The two current idiots, regardless of when fed, are "dying'' a few of hours later.

How often do you feed your dogs?

2/3 of a cup of food morning and night. Medium Milkbone at noon.

They always act like they are starving.

Used to have a GSD, fed her once in the morning, once in the late afternoon.

I feed our dogs twice a day, morning and evening. Treats in the early afternoon and late evening. I measure portion size for each dog(taking into account weight of dog and activity level). Read the label on the dog food bag and adjust if the dog seems to be gaining too much weight. Use only good quality dog food.

We keep food in the Feed Bowls most of the time for our German Shepherd and our Lab/Australian Shepherd Mix. They are not fenced and come and go from in the house as they will. We give them a little of our food if they want it. Usually just a Little is enough. When my wife cooks bacon they each patiently wait for their slice; they each get a hamburger patty if we have those. The Lab is not overweight and the German Shepherd is about eight pounds over. They get plenty of exercise at will out where we live. There isn’t a road or highway nearby.

Once a day. I'll fill her food bowl up in the morning. And she'll eat it after I get home from work that evening.
    Treats here and there.
Try to walk her a couple miles every morning. For some reason, she loves the island in our kitchen. LOL

Probably six cups total. Two cups in the morning and two at night, with chicken feet daily and beef feet once a week as snacks along with gizzards and other goodies. All treats are designed to supplement his diet.

I’m in the “twice a day” camp as well. We have a ~5 year old GSD who needs a limited ingredient diet due to food sensitivity. She gets 1.5 cups morning and evening. I had a great conversation with a trainer at Petco regarding the different types of food the carry. If you do the same, make sure you are talking with their staff and not an in-store rep for one brand.

    Twice a day.

A friend of mine had a Rottweiler named Gretchen. She would not eat unless you pulled up a chair and sat with her.

I guess she didn't want to eat alone.

I am not sure how much, but we keep two measuring cups. A small one for the corgis and a large one for the Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
We could probably just fill the bowl for the Chessie, but those corgis will eat until their bellies drag the ground.

Twice per day and of course, they're 'starving' prior to each meal.

twice a day as well. 95 pound Bullmastiff. She gets 2 cups of IAM's "For Large Breed" at each feeding. I hope that is enough...she's still growing.
