I paid $573 for my OD G27 w/fixed plastic sights right before the OD's were discontinued. I'd be comfortable going as high as $600 to buy a NIB one w/fixed plastic sights. If it has night sights from the factory and the sights are only a few years old I might pay an extra $40-$50.

No one wants to hear this but I am into OD 26's for $398 ea. On the other hand there is a saying that for guns no longer made mostly you don't really pay too much you pay it too soon. Some years back I paid ~400 for a used 617, and felt a bit guilty because I thought 350 would have been more reasonable. If the seller is not as aware that the ODs command a premium right now, I might start at 500 - 550 and hae decided before I negotiate how much OD is worth to me above the price for which you could get a black G26.

Some believe the OD is now a collector's item and that's true only in that they are no longer made. But I sure wouldn't pay $1000 for one.
I would say maybe as high as $700 but I consider that high even for a NIB.
I would more consider the caliber for collector value, and would suggest certain calibers might bring a better price. For instance, I have a G20 OD and believe that might bring more down the road than, say, a less popular caliber like a GAP or even a more popular .357, maybe. Then on the other hand an OD GAP may be a big deal in 30 years, who knows.
But one thing I don't believe is that a gun will really jump in value until it's 100 years old, or something like that. At best, I expect some guns to hold their value and maybe increase, like a Colt 1911 or something like that.
Bottom line, I don't put extra value on a Glock just because it's an OD.

One fool on GB has two ODs up right now with a buy it now price of $1500. For the love of god I hope some idiot doesn't pay that.

My local Cabelas had a used like NIB G26 for $499 I could have bought and though abou tit. I have no interest in 9mm so I passed on it. Max I would pay for a new OD is $600. I want to pick up a G31 OD to round out my collection but I'm not paying the crazy prices they are going for. I refuse to pay HK prices for a Glock.
