Gen 1 Glock 17 (March '87, CA) that has never been shot except for the Austrian proof?

Have a chance to get another and was wondering what the experts think?

I am not one who thinks of Glocks as collectible, but I would think that an unfired first generation ought to be worth at least $600 to someone.

Yeah, the one down here is $550 private face to face sale. Said he might take one of my Gen 2 19s in trade.

I never thought certain SKS rifles would be collectable or I would not have sold my SKS Ds or Ms or the 5 NIB 1951 Russian models or certain Norinco AK models so having said that when things are no longer made in a matter of time they have become desirable and people will pay good $$ for them so I would sure try to deal on that Glock if you plan to leave it NIB and set on it for awhile. If I had the $$$ I would pay $650-$700 for it and put it in the safe.:dunno:

I would offer her $500 cash and she will likely accept your offer. Just my .02

It's pretty much "new" Gen 1 G17? I doubt she would take $500 unless she just needs money. I bet the right person would easy pay $600... someone who really wanted one may even go $700. I personally would not, but people love their Glocks.

That would be a fair price for an almost brand new first gen.

I would pay the price of a current production one, since I would take that unfired gun and head to the range.

I wouldn't pay any more for it than I would a new gen 3. I'm a shooter, not a collector, the only way I'll pay a premium is if a particular firearm offers some advantage.

$250?! No joke... I think I'd pay $250 for any Glock at that price.
