I got tired of waiting and just had my slide machined. Much cleaner install, anyway. :)

I'm waiting on that too, my G-20 and the battery free, dual illuminated model should be a good match. Don't want to modify my 2nd gen gun. (they don't make them like they used to)
FWIW, Freedom Arms now makes RMR mounts for it's revolvers with adjustable sights. Not listed yet, but they have them.

Have you talked to a good 'smith? Making a mount with a dovetail should be extremely easy -- may cost a bit more for a one-off, but may not too much more. There's no guarantee we'll see them from Trijicon in January.

Got to thinking about this . . . My BUIS are suppressor (tall) sights and they co-witness with the dot. So, if the BUIS are really sufficient to clear the suppressor (I'll never know here in CA), then the dot would also clear it. Something to think about.
