This model was shown during the last gunshow. Please correct me if I'm wrong but list price then was about 25,000 brand new. 2nd hand in good condition would be about 15,000, but then again I'm a cheapskate so others might be willing to pay more.

Lastly there seems to be a dearth of available .25 caliber bullets of good quality at present, so a lot of people are "dumping" their .25 caliber guns here. The ubiquitous Phoenix Arms .25 ranges from 8,000-12,000 second hand.

Hello to all BoGs. A pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Thanks a lot for the welcome, casmot.

I've been reading most of the threads here for the past few months and learning a lot from all of you.And I do take to heart the thread re: newbies, so I didn't want to jump into any discussion without any knowledge of the topic.

I've surfed and joined in a lot of other boards/lounges/chatrooms with various topics. BoGs beats them all by a mile. It's the Philippines in microcosm, beautiful girls, barkada and beer. The 3 essential B's of life.

Hope to meet you all in person soon.

Back in the 80's my boardmate saw a guy shot three times at the back with a .25 automatic outside the Gallery Star (at the Mile-Long creek)which we frequented during weekends.

The guy managed to run and get a taxi. The police located him at the emergency room of the Makati Med.

Some say it's less potent than a .22 lr. But bullet technology nowadays is so advanced that you may want to look into new data for the .25 Auto.

If it's around P10,000.00, and functions flawlessly, get it. It's a Beretta.:) Magazines are also in abundance. Twin Pines sell Mec-Gars for that model.

the question is? what will you use it for? for defense dont buy it.

for plinking get a ruger 22/45 more accurate and lots of bullets and options that you can play with.

collection? not sure if its collectable.

    competition? nope.

For me i wont buy it for 5t unless i can sell it for 10t ;f

Dude - This is what you call a thread hi-jack or going out of topic. If you want to sell your Daewoo, open up a new thread or go to Buy and Sell thread on BOG forum.

To answer you question, having an unlicense gun is already illegal. I wouldn't even discuss it here on public forum (for your own sake). Sure you can offer it for sale at your own risk. A LE might make an offer and just imagine yourself talking to a cop with you holding an unlicense piece. Sabi nga nila malamig ang sahig sa loob. ;)

    Good luck.

Ersatz - The problem in RP is you have to renew your lic every two years. I would rather get a bigger caliber which I can compete with.
    That's only me.

Listen to Jason....we are sometimes tempted to buy a gun because its cute or its hot, however in the end, if you can't really use it, you've just wasted money. Titingnan-tingnan mo lang yan from time to time, but can't really shoot it...sayang lang eh. Buy a gun that you can/will use. Just my opinion :)

    badshot9mm,

oo nga..buying second hand guns can also be a little bit risky lalo na pag walang papers. who knows, chances are baka nagamit na yan sa masama. it is always best to just get a new gun. if you're a little tight on the budget, im sure..there's always a brand new gun out there that has quality. get a taurus or an armscor, norinco if you will..quality affordable guns yang mga yan. :)

regarding your daewoo.. try posting it sa "buy and sell" but be sure muna sa buyer. you know that there's "operation bakal" as what the police call it. there's always a risk kahit saan naman lalo na pag walang papers (Illegal possession of firearms). even in transporting unlicensed guns, mas lalo na. kakabog kabog ang dibdib mo.

so, my suggestion is..dont risk it, just get a new gun. its better to always be on the safe side and obey the existing laws.

    cheers.;c

    badshot9mm,

If you are going to buy a second hand gun, buy only from trusted sources (ie, people you know you can trust 100%). Kung sa pinsan mo yan, most likely may lisensya yan hindi lang na-renew.

If I were you keep it na lang muna. Ingat ka sa pagdi-dispose. Offer it only sa mga taong mapagkakatiwalaan mo. And before you sell it, pigain mo yung pinsan mo na ilabas yung expired na lisensya para hindi ka masyado alanganin. You can then sell it sa iba para mapalisensyahan. Ikaw na lang magbayad ng penalty for late renewal mura lang naman yun pero yung seller na sasagot ng cost of transfer of license. You'll have a much better chance selling it pa.

For your guidance, most loose unlicensed firearms are those from the military and police, mostly high powered firearms in the hands of various rebel groups, kalashnikovs and M14s smuggled from Oplan Karagatan (yes they still exist), WWII vintage firearms and paltiks. Bihira lang modern pistols.
