How much ammo does everyone keeps in stock for all calibers? I currenty am down to 300 rounds of 9mm
For 9mm, about 6000 rounds loaded and enough for about another 14,000. 45 ACP loaded about 2000, and enough for another 8000. 44 mag about 1000 rounds loaded.
I lost all my ammo and guns when the boat sunk.
I keep about 3,000 rounds for each caliber. 45, 357/38, 223, 22
As of now I have, 9mm, 450 rounds plinking rounds, 350 rounds Federal HST, .40 S&W 300 rounds plinker stuff, 250 Federal HST, .357 Sig 250 rounds. I bought the HST stuff at a very good price because it's my favorite carry & home defense ammo. I generally pick up a box or 2 along when I find a good price on practice ammo.
I hope to have four or five hundred less rounds of 9mm later today, if the weather doesn't get too bad.
I buy all my ammo on the internet and look around for bargains. I might jump on a really good buy for several cases. Three or four years ago I picked up 3000 rounds of Win Ranger .40 135 grain for $900 delivered. If I get down to 2000 or so in a caliber I start getting anxious, and look for more. I'm comfortably retired now and can afford it. When I was just out of the army decades ago, I would have thought 300 rounds was too rich for my blood. And it was several years before I ever bought a full case.
50 rounds? Enough for 3 mags.
10 rounds of Critical defense 45ACP and 150 rounds of 45acp target ammo.
How much ammo do I have?
You can never really have enough ammo....
Good point. Think I'll order some of that new Underwood Xtreme Defender.
That is a classified secret but I have enough to support my weekly shooting habits and to take care of business if needed.
I have just enough to make sure that I can obtain all I will ever need.
No 45 gap ammo?
I have about 1200 rounds of 9 mm, bullets and primers for that many more, powder and cases for several times that. For .380ACP, around 500 rounds, a couple of thousand cases. Down to around 500 .22LR. I am encouraged by news that it seems to be available some places, but it is still like chasing unicorn feathers around here. .38 Special I have about 250 on hand, with another 100 or so of empty brass and 500 bullets on hand. I have a little .25ACP that I hardly ever shoot, with maybe 100 rounds on hand for that.
Enough loaded to shoot for 1 year. (12k) and enough components to load for the next year.
I'm an older fart, use to buy mil surp by the case in the late 80s early 90s. I still have 3 cases of ChiCom 7.62X39 steel core from when the dealers had short notice of it becoming illegal to sell, wish I still had all I've shot up, and that's just one caliber.
Some for the range
Can't have enough.
The ammo anxiety is this thread is hysterical.
