    ...Star Wars?

I ask because I've watched (parts of) my old VHS (unfortunately remastered, not original) copies of the original Trilogy for the past month as I head to bed.

All in all, I've probably seen each movie....well, a BUNCH. It probably wouldn't be pushing it to say I've watched them 100 times (I'm the same way with Lawrence of Arabia).

I remember going to see the Trilogy when they were re-released in the theater, all in one day, one after another.

I *wish* that LucasFilm would release the originals on BluRay (separate from the second batch of three...blech) as they were in the theaters. No Han shooting second, no silly CG stuff added in, and no Hayden Christiansen as Anakin in Return of the Jedi.

I'm a big Science-Fiction/Fantasy nerd, and I can't get enough of Star Wars.

Anybody else feel the same way?

I saw the original in the theater, and none since then. :dunno:Never seen any of the sequels. The original was good, but I was never interested enough in it to see any after that.

    Episodes 4, 5, 6 good, episodes 1, 2, 3 not nearly as interesting.

I am sure I have some on video, and I don't have a working VCR, or at least haven't tried to use a VCR in a few years. Hey, I'm old. I've got the last of the turntables and no LPs to play on it.

I would REALLY like the money to be able to buy all my music on vinyl. I still say it's the best way to listen. Unfortunately, it's cost-prohibitive unless you've got a decent stack of coin.

And you're right about Episodes 1, 2, and 3. Jar-Jar alone makes me want to vomit, and that's before the nappy dialog between Padme and Anakin. Yech.

I've watched all of the episodes WAY TOO MANY TIMES!!

I can't stand them now. I see all the plot holes now.

I liked 4,5 & 6 better also. I have seen them too many times to count. Also have them on audio book. The best viewing was at the Belmont Drive In. It's still open by the way. 5.00 per car. Two features nightly. First run movies too.

Love science fiction! I use it as a method to escape... and that is what they are meant, as a means for us to lose ourselves for a short period of time and to live vicariously in another galaxy!

Han Solo is my favorite character... and Leia... oh man... :whistling::whistling:

My favorite whine of all time. At one time, my son and daughter could recite every line of that darned movie as we watched it... over and over and over, again and again.

I probably watched Episode 4 close to 200 times as a teenager. Watched 5 and six a fair number of times as well. Saw 1 once and have never seen 2 and 3.

I've probably seen return of the jedi over 50 times. It was the one we had on tape.

I've seen Star Wars (the original one) who knows how many dozen times, Empire Strikes back at least 30 or 40 times, Return of the Muppets maybe six or eight times. I've seen the most recent movies maybe five times combined among all three. All I know is that you just can't kill too many Ewoks.

Han shot first ....unless you have the "remastered" copies. Star-wars Rocks but the biggest problem I have with the original movies is the Ewoks defeat the empire in the end ....wtf ewoks win the war how the heck could that even be possible. I can almost forgive the whole jar-jar binks shenanigans but the ewoks thing always bothered me.
